Over the past few months, you might have noticed a change in the way we talk about what we do here at RingRevenue. You probably noticed us throwing around the term “call performance marketing.” So what’s the deal?

Where is pay-per-call?

When we launched our platform, the term pay-per-call had been around for a little while. The industry was familiar with the concept of paying for calls, similar to paying for clicks. But there’s an important distinction in what our platform delivers. Advertisers don’t just “pay for calls”, they pay for qualified calls. We recently made the transition to call performance marketing to better communicate the rich set of capabilities our platform offers.

Last Friday, the RingRevenue team took off a little early to enjoy our annual holiday party. I am pretty fortunate to work for such a great company, with the dedicated and fun team we have. But the icing on the cake is getting to live in paradise.

For many across the country the holiday season is filled with this:



But for those of us lucky enough to live here in Santa Barbara, our days look a little more like this:


We kicked our holiday party off with a “3 Hour Tour” (okay 2 hours-- but it is more fun to say 3 hour tour) aboard the LandShark, a huge amphibious vehicle that tours both the harbor and downtown. The tour was pretty spectacular. Even the local wildlife came out to celebrate with us.


As if the pod of dolphins frolicking next to the boat wasn’t good enough... cue the sunset. Probably one of the most amazing sights I have seen in a really long time.


If it feels like I am rubbing in how great it is to live and work here, don’t dismay. We are hiring.

Holiday Shoppers Phoning It In - Call Performance Marketing Delivers

 
Santa Loves Call Performance Marketing

The holiday shopping season is off to a strong start. Black Friday weekend kicked off the season with strong sales and consumers spending over $45 billion. Cyber Monday was good to online retailers with record breaking sales. Internet marketing research company ComScore posted stats for online retail sales on Wednesday reporting that online sales were up 16 percent, mainly due to the average buyer spending 12 percent more than in 2009. November retail sales rose 6 percent over 2009. But the real news is that for the first time ever, online sales passed $1 billion in a single day.
