Today's the Day - Rakuten LinkShare Symposium NY 2012!
After a beautiful weekend in sunny Santa Barbara (goodbye June gloom!), you may be wondering why we are looking forward to the often dreaded Monday - well, it’s simple. This Monday, June 25th, Rakuten LinkShare is hosting their biggest event of the year: the Rakuten LinkShare Symposium New York 2012!
Earlier this year, RingRevenue had the opportunity to interview Russ Peachman, VP of Lead Generation at Rakuten LinkShare, about how pay-per-call fits into their strategy and the success they have seen with their pay-per-call platform. Both advertisers and publishers signed up for the LinkShare pay-per-call platform have seen compelling results, including double-digit increases in lead production across a variety of media channels. “Calls are becoming an increasingly important part of the channel mix for us. It’s now a part of the conversation with almost every new client on the lead gen side,” said Peachman. “For the most part, advertisers see it as a way to capture a higher rate of conversions. But it’s also been a hook for some advertisers who are weary of the same old lead-selling sources, and are looking to expand their distribution to something new and, hopefully higher-quality.” From the publisher perspective, leveraging pay-per call to promote phone based campaigns (which often entail higher-ticket items), effectively connect with new advertisers, and ultimately earn more commissions is now easier than ever.
Staying true to their New York roots, this two-day networking event will be hosted at the iconic Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Here, advertisers and publishers in the Rakuten LinkShare Network will have the opportunity to discuss how to best drive sales for advertisers and in turn, commissions for publishers. Additionally, it will be a great opportunity to learn about the Rakuten LinkShare Network and the industry in general.
